On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Maine Department of Education (DOE), in collaboration with the Maine Adult Education Association, hosted an event at the Hall of Flags in the State House to showcase the broad impact of adult education programming across the state. The event highlighted stories from adult education students who developed essential foundational & occupational skills necessary to advance their careers.
* Fun Fact- in 2024-2025 approximately 12,400 adults participated in adult basic education, high school completion, college prep & workforce training in Maine!
